Auto auctions are extremely popular these days and it’s no surprise. Where else can you get the car of your dreams at half the amount of what it’s worth? Featured by the Insurance Auto Auction, and what helps them stand out from the crowd, is the largest facility footprint in all of North America. They work in partnership with a variety of sellers to ensure their consumers always get the best selection.

This helps their consumers because it means that they are able to offer the most options in terms of selection and the best prices. They offer cars, trucks, boats, motor homes and more. They make the process of bidding and buying a vehicle simple, and you can actually search through vehicles and choose one online and then examine the vehicle and purchase it in person. You can check their website at any time to find out more on what vehicles are available and what their asking prices are.

The great thing about auctions is that just because a car is listed at a certain asking price, that doesn’t mean this is what you’ll end up paying for it. The live, in person bidding is the old-fashioned way of doing things although many people still rely on this method because they like to see a vehicle in person before spending any money on it. You can either bid in person the old-fashioned way so that you can take a look at a vehicle before deciding to invest money in it, or you can do online bidding for which the entire process takes place over the computer. As long as you have a working Internet connection you can utilize the I-Bid Live feature which allows you to join in on live auctions.

Then they are able to bid in real time with other online bidders and find the car of their dreams. You can do your bidding the night before so it’s over and done with. But the Insurance Auto Auction Company also offers a third option for bidding which is known as pre-bidding. The highest pre-bid is then taken and represented at the auction.

There are hundreds of other companies which hold successful auto auctions and which are worth checking out but the Insurance Auto Auction Company is one that you can really feel confident and safe going through to get a new or used vehicle. These are just a few of the many benefits the Insurance Auto Auction holds over its competitors. They offer such a large and varied selection of vehicles and also resourceful tools to help you make the best buy. The tools and resources they offer make it easy even for newcomers to the auction scene to find what they’re looking for and get a great deal.

Anyone who’s on the hunt for a new or used motorcycle may be able to find just what they need through a motorcycle auto auction. A motorcycle auto auction is a great place to head if you find yourself in this situation. On bikes for which there are very few bidders, you could even get a bike worth several thousand for just a few hundred, depending on what the highest bid is. Going through an auction can save you a ton of money but it’s important to stay away from private sellers and stick with respectable auction companies.

Salvage Bikes Auction is a perfect example. They only offer bikes from licensed auto dealers and dismantlers. This means you can trust in knowing the bikes are all quality and that you’re getting exactly what you’re being told. They make the process of finding and bidding on a bike as quick and easy for you as possible.

First you need to search through the bikes listed on their auction which you can do online or in person the old-fashioned way. Once you have found a bike you’re interested in bidding on you place your bet and if you end up with the highest accepted offer you receive an invoice that outlays all the payment information. The balance due is then required plus a $50 handling fee minus the security deposit that was already paid. All fees are non-refundable just as with most auto auctions, so make sure that you’re getting a good deal and are sure that you want a particular motorcycle before going through and bidding on it.

They are not the only motorcycle auto auction worth checking out and there is also Biker Bids. They offer Indian and Harley Davidson bikes at greatly reduced prices. There are always new live auctions becoming available and most people choose to place their bids online. They even offer valuable information for first-time bidders on how to get started and find a great deal.

Whether you’re buying online or going in person and doing it the old-fashioned way, the most important thing is that you’re taking advantage of the auctions. The most important thing is that you are sticking to companies like these where you know you can get a great deal and not worry about getting suckered into buying anything. By sticking to familiar and respectable auction companies you’ll have less to worry about and can focus more on finding that dream hog of yours for a great price. Just be sure to get a warranty and other important documentation when purchasing your bike.

The federal government is one of the largest buyers of cars and trucks and it follows stringent policies regarding replacement of vehicles. Over 300 government car auctions are held in various part of the country each year and all types of vehicles are put up for sale. Anyone who is over 18 years of age and holds a valid driving license can take part in these auctions and there is no registration fee to be paid for participation. A government auto auction can be done in various forms – live auctions, internet auctions, sealed bid auctions, drop by sales, fixed price and negotiated price are some of the methods used. The government accepts payment in various forms, making it easy for successful bidders to pay and drive home – credit cards, cash, cashier’s checks and money order are all accepted.

When you consider that government auto auctions usually sell off over 30,000 cars and trucks a year, it is obvious that there will be a wide range of vehicles on sale. While some of the older cars may have seen heavy use and may not be worthwhile buys, many of the vehicles for sale have surprisingly low mileages and have been used by a single person during their period in government service. Besides being carefully detailed before being placed up for bidding, many of the cars and trucks on sale have extras and accessories that would cost a large amount if bought new. This doesn’t however, mean that a person can blindly buy a car for sale at a government auto auction as these are all used vehicles and so there will always be some element of risk involved in buying them. While each vehicle is thoroughly detailed before being put up for sale, they are sold without any warranty and any problem that may occur once the payment has been made will have to be rectified at the buyer’s expense.

But since these are government auto auctions with no personal profit involved, there is no chance of being deliberately cheated and so the risks of buying from here are much less than in private auctions. It is always better that a bidder who has no knowledge of cars have the services of someone who does available to advise him on which cars to bid on and which to avoid. Do not make the mistake of getting carried away and buying a car just because it is far cheaper than you thought it could be – wait until you find the kind of car that is right for you; buying a cheap car that does not meet your needs is pointless. An often over looked source of good used cars are the auctions that the U.S. Marshal Service holds for cars that have been seized by law enforcement agencies.

The fact that money is tight these days has no effect on the wear and tear that your car undergoes and the way that maintenance costs keep going up as a car gets older means that sooner or later it becomes time to look for a replacement. The problem lies in the fact that when even paying for car maintenance is hard, where does the large amount of money needed for a new car come from? The solution lies in the wholesale auto auction where, if you know what you are doing, great bargains can be found. While the cars for sale will not be new, it is often possible to pick up a car that is in excellent condition and will need little in the way of maintenance expenses at incredibly low prices.

When people are unable to repay the loans they took to buy new cars, the banks and finance companies repossess them. But the repossessed cars will not repay the loan and the lenders need to sell off these cars to recover as much money as they can and they need to act quickly. Everyday that they do not get back as much money as possible means their losses keep increasing. On top of that, they will be paying storage charges for the cars in their possession and the longer the cars remain in storage, the more they will depreciate in value and also begin to show signs of age.

The lenders need to liquidate these assets as quickly as possible to cut their losses and the way they do this is by wholesale auto auctions. The experienced buyer at wholesale auto auctions knows that the lenders are in a rush to sell and plans his bidding accordingly increasing his bids in small amounts and never pushes too hard because he knows that if he misses out on one car, there will be another equally good one down the line. But there are pitfalls in buying from a wholesale auto auction – you have no warranties on the conditions of the car you are bidding for. People who know in advance that their cars will be repossessed by the lenders often stop spending money on even basic maintenance, so many of these cars available at these auctions may not be worth buying. If you are planning to buy from a wholesale auto auction, it is important that you check out the cars you are interested in completely before bidding on them.

The government has long had a reputation of accumulating far more of everything than it needs. But let us not be unfair – the government surpluses often occur because to the strict life cycle and replacement policies, both at the federal and state levels. Because of these strict regulations, the government always has a large quantity of cars and trucks that may be in good condition, but which it can no longer use and must auction off. The majority of these cars are what are called “government fleet vehicles”; government service cars (domestic cars with often low mileage) and those used by police departments and other such government agencies – these will have higher mileage but will have been well maintained.

Many of these cars and trucks will have a vehicle history available and those who would prefer to buy a car with a complete history should check on this before bidding. Many of these cars and trucks have years of life left in them and are only being sold because government policy demands it and so are extremely good buys. You will also find cars that have been seized by law enforcement agencies on sale at these surplus auto auctions. It is not only cars and trucks that are available at the surplus auto auctions – motorcycles, ATVs, and other vehicles are all up for bids.

Those who are on limited budget, or who want to buy a second car for the family without burning a hole in the pocket or may want to get a teenager his or her first car, will do well to look at the options available at these surplus car options. These auctions are also places to by luxury cars that would normally be beyond the reach of many people – cars seized from big time criminals form part of the surplus auto auctions. These cars are of no use to the government and by selling them off they are at least able to make some money and reduce the storage costs. And this is one factor that must never be forgotten when bidding at a surplus car auction – the government must sell these cars as having them laying around costs money for storage so the pressure is on it to sell these surplus cars fast. Whatever the government gets at the auction is a bonus compared to the cost of keeping these cars idle and unused so cars are often sold off at incredibly low prices.

Auto auctions are very popular these days and it’s no surprise. At a car auction you can get a car at half its actual value. You can really make a killing at auto auctions if you know what you’re doing and use common sense. There are different formats of auctions available, one being the bank auto auction.

A bank auto auction is an auction at which offered are recent reposed bank and credit union cars. These cars are repossessed from people who went through the bank to purchase a vehicle and who then did not make their payments on time or stopped paying altogether. The bank allows a certain amount of time before going ahead and repossessing the car which they then take and sell off at auction to get their money back. It would then be taken and sold at one of these auctions.

You may even be able to find a car that is priced at only half what it’s actually worth. For one thing there’s the fact that you can get a brand new car for half its original price, just because it was repossessed. Just remember that there are a lot of scams that you’ll have to watch out for. Sticking to familiar sellers is the best idea so that you have less chances of being taken advantage of.

When buying a car at a bank auto auction make sure that you take your time and check out all the parts on the car before buying. Keep in mind that most vehicles are sold as is which means that if you buy and decide after that you made a bad deal, it’s your problem and you won’t be able to get your money back. If you don’t know too much about car mechanics you may want to bring along your own mechanic or even just a family member or friend who knows more about it than you. With auto auctions, the rule is that you are buying “as is”, so if you purchase a car only to find out after that you made a bad deal, it’s your problem and they aren’t going to refund your money.

Even if a car is in pretty rough shape it may still be worth it, depending on the asking price. At some bank auto auctions you are able to negotiate and get them to drop the price even further. The best idea is to buy from a bank auto auction that is close enough to you that you could check the cars out online and do your bidding but then go check the car out in person before buying. If you’re buying a later model vehicle it should still come with the Manufacturer’s Warranty on the vehicle.

There is one simple reason for this – nothing is as cheap to buy as a damaged car; it may be available at a fraction of the cost of the equivalent new or even second had car. If you have the interest and inclination to get involved in car restoration, then this could be the best way to get the kind of car you want for a fraction of what it would otherwise cost you. Unlike general car auctions where people go to look for the best cars at prices they can afford, in a damaged auto auction the buyer is looking to balance the amount of damage with the time and money he will need to spend to get himself a good and reliable set of wheels.

If you are one of those no knowledge of automobile mechanics, stay away from damaged auto auctions – while you may be able to buy a damaged car very cheap, without being able to understand the nature of repairs, you will not be able to control the restoration costs and this will make the whole exercise futile because the end result will be a car that costs more than you expected it to. The first thing to do is to study the list of cars available at a damaged auto auction and make a short list of the ones that interest you – this should be based on the type of car, the nature of the damage and the cost and effort of repair. It is important to check on the price and availability of spare parts as this can be a problem for some makes of cars. Once your list of potential cars is final, get hold of an expert to do a second inspection with you and confirm your findings so there will be no unexpected and expensive surprises awaiting you once the restoration begins. And before you do any bidding at a damaged auto auction, spend some time making sure that buying the same car in an undamaged condition would not be cheaper in the long run.

Once you are sure that the economics of buying from a damaged auto auction makes sense, make sure that you do not let your self get involved in bidding wars and spend more than you planned – this will affect the final restored price of the car and could make to whole effort a waste of time. If you are willing to take all the time and trouble needed to restore a damaged car, you should be able to have a safe reliable car that will give you years of reliable service.

People often wonder whether to head to their local car dealership or go through a statewide auto auction the next time they want a new or used vehicle. There are certainly pros and cons to each but going through an auction, when done properly, has a lot more to offer you than any dealership. You can save a great deal of time, money and hassle by opting for an auction over a dealer. There are a few tips that you can keep in mind and which will ensure you get your next vehicle at the best possible price.

One helpful tip if you plan on going through a statewide auto auction is to be aware of what format the auction is in. There are bank auto auctions, government auto auctions and private auto auctions. There are online auctions and others that you can go to in person the old-fashioned way. This decision should be made based on the mechanical skill level you have with vehicles because if you have a lot of experience with them you should feel comfortable going through the entire purchasing process online.

It’s important to understand the different rules and regulations of any statewide auto auction before bidding on any of the vehicles. Not all auctions are the same and some only accept checks while others take everything from cash to all major credit cards. If you make an error in judgment with payment you can end up causing a big hassle for you and the auctioneers. Talking to an auction representative before starting in on any auction is always a wise decision.

They will be able to offer you valuable information on such matters as documentation and what you should be receiving when bidding on and buying a car, as well as how to register your car once you have won it. The more information you can get before heading into something like this, the better off you’ll be. When you are bidding on an online auction it’s easy because you have the Internet right there which can also be incredibly helpful. Taking the time to choose your auctions carefully is so important and can make the difference between finding a lemon and finding the car of your dreams.

If you can find decent online auctions that are located near your local area this is best. It’s easy to see the huge benefits offered by these over any dealership in the world. Wherever you can save you should and getting a car through an auction is certainly your best way of doing this. These tips will help you have the most success and find the car of your dreams.

The Internet is a fantastic resource for many things, and now also for car auctions. You can actually go online and complete the entire bidding and car purchasing process without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. It’s much more convenient than the old-fashioned way but there are a few things that are important for any eager car shopper to be aware of first. Rather than having to walk around a car lot or sit for hours in an auction house they can just take a quick look online and search for exactly the automobile that they want.

You can make a killing at an online auto auction as long as you know what you’re doing. One important fact to remember when shopping at online auto auctions is that these auctions are available in different formats. One of the most important things to remember when going on an online auto auction is to understand that auctions come in different formats and are not necessarily always the same. It really depends on what you are looking for and you can always keep searching until you find online auto auctions that offer what you want.

Before going to any online auto auctions it’s wise to get a better idea of what sort of vehicles you’re interested in and then do some research on them. This will make it much easier to avoid scams and find a great deal. A lot of people need a new car but if they don’t have any clue what to look for or how much they should be expecting to pay, it won’t be a surprise if they get taken advantage of. The great thing about the online auctions is that you have all the information you need right at your fingertips.

As soon as you find a vehicle you’re interested in you can go onto any search engine and find out everything you need to know to ensure that you’re getting a good deal. There is usually always a no money back policy so if you buy a car only to find out it was a bad buy afterwards, it’s pretty much your problem. The difficult thing about an online auto auction is that you have to take word that the picture of the car is accurate. Because you’re not able to see the car in person before bidding, this can make things a bit harder.

Sticking to well known and trusted sites is the best idea so that you have the best chances of avoiding scams. Wholesale and government auto auctions are also usually reliable. Stay away from unknown sellers, unless they live close enough to you that you can travel and check out the car before buying. Online auto auctions can be a really great thing if you take your time, shop carefully and use common sense.

Auto auctions are becoming increasing popular as the best place to find cars at bargain prices but understanding auto auction prices and how to go about bidding is something that leaves a lot of people feeling very confused. When buying a car from a dealer, there is always a sticker price which you can use as a starting point while you do your negotiations to bring the price done. In the case of an auto auction, there is no sticker price or any other point of reference – the price car is sold will depend on the interest it evokes among the bidders. Probably the only fixed point on auto auction prices is the price at which the auction opens and even this may be lowered if there are no takers for the opening price.

If you want to understand auto auction prices, the best thing to do is to spend time at the auctions simply watching how the bidding progresses. Look out for how the bidding progresses for different categories of cars, which makes get the highest prices and the impact a car’s age has on its selling price. This will enable you to do our own evaluations about what cars are within your price range. While doing this exercise, try to look out for the kind of cars you are interested in and pay special attention to their auto auction prices.

Also spend time visiting auto auction websites and note at what prices the cars you are interested in are being sold. Once you have a working idea of what the kinds of car you are interested in are going to cost you, you will need to set yourself budgets. Keep in mind that there are no certainties in any auction and if you get caught amongst bidders who are determined to have the car you are also bidding for, the price can sky rocket. Keep your budget as flexible as you can so that you have some elbow room in your bidding, but never, whatever be the temptation, exceed your budget, because once you bid beyond your limits, it can be difficult to stop.

During the course of your bidding if you come across others who seem to be very interested in the same car as you are, step back and let them fight it out – at the end of the fight, if the price is still within your range, you can start bidding again.
